白明，江西余干人。中国当代著名陶艺家、画家。清华大学美术学院陶瓷艺术设计系系主任，清华大学美术学院美术馆副馆长，联合国教科文组织国际陶协IAC会员，中国美术家协会陶瓷艺术委员会秘书长，中国美术家协会会员，中国油画学会会员，《中国陶艺网》 HYPERLINK WWW.artcn.net艺术总监，《中国陶艺家》杂志常务副主编。湖北工业大学艺术设计学院特聘教授，广西艺术学院客座教授。2004年在人民大会堂获“中国现代陶艺推广贡献奖”。2001年受美国费城国际陶艺中心及几所大学的邀请，在美国进行为期半年的工作、讲学和展览。2002年受邀赴瑞士讲学并参展。2005年和2009年再次受邀赴美讲学。2009年受邀赴法国工作讲学并举办个展。2010年受联合国教科文组织国际陶艺协会和巴黎中国文化中心及普瓦第埃孔子学院邀请，尹吉男策展的“瓷语东方白明陶艺作品展”在巴黎举行，该展成为2010年巴黎市政府“外国文化周”唯一代表中国的展览项目。出版个人作品集9种；著述九种二十二卷。
　　Bai Ming, born in Yugan, Jiangxi Province, is a famous Chinese contemporary ceramic artist and painter. As a lecturer of the College of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, he is also a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC)of UNESCO, the Secretary-General of the Ceramic Art Council of China Artists Association (CAA), a member of China Artists Association (CAA) and China Oil Painting Society (COPS), the art director of China Ceramic Art Net(www.artcn.net) the Executive Editor of China Ceramic Artist magazine, the distinguished professor of Art and Design of Hubei University, a visiting professor of Guangxi Arts Institute.
　　In 2004, due to the distinguished achievements he obtained during so many years on the contemporary ceramic art creation and culture promotion, he was honored the “Contribution Award for Popularizing China Contemporary Ceramic Art” by China Ceramic Industry Society and the Ceramic Art Council of China Artists Association.
　　Bai Ming is also a specially invited professor, guest editor, invited editor-in –chief, column host and writer of many universities, colleges, art publishing houses, journals and newspapers. In the year of 2001, he spent half a year in the United States working, lecturing and holding exhibitions at the invitation of the international Clay Studio in Philadelphia and several universities. He was invited to give lectures in Switzerland and hold exhibitions there the following year. In 2005 and 2009, he went to the United States to lecture at the invitation of American universities again. 2009, Bai Ming was invited to give lectures and held his solo exhibition of work in France. 2010, invited by the UNESCO International Ceramics Association, Chinese Cultural Centre of Paris and the Poitiers Confucius Institute, the \"The Story of Eastern Ceramic: Bai Ming Ceramic Art Exhibition\" projected by Jinan Yin is held in Paris, which is the only one present China in 2010 Paris “Week of Foreign Cultures ”.
