刘二刚祖籍天津, 1947年出生于江苏镇江。1959年开始从事美术工作。1978年进入镇江国画院18年，从事专业国画创作。1979-1985年刘补读十年书。游历五岳诸名胜，寻访古代文化遗址，得写生稿和笔记五十余本，并作书法和诗词。1986-1991年研究中国画论，比较中西文化。先后在江苏省美术馆、北京中国国家画院举办个人画展。曾参加「南斯拉夫中国现代绘画展」、「韩国现代中国画代表作家展」、「美国现代中国画家小品展」等，并随江苏书画代表团赴日本访问。1992-1996年赴吉隆坡举办个人画展，参与历届「中国新文人画展暨研讨会」；参加「第二届国际水墨画展」、「张力与表现水墨展」以及多种大型学术活动。结业于中国艺术研究院中国画名家研修班。应江苏省国画院特聘画师。曾为《江苏画刊》编辑，高级美术师。著作和作品曾多次出版，包括《刘二刚书画选集》、《庙亭山随笔》、《二刚国画小品集》和《二刚漫谈少年学国画》等。现为南京书画院专职画家和国家一级美术师。 ^_^ Liu Ergang (Born 1947) Born in Jiangsu, Liu Ergang's home town is in Tianjin. He started his career in the field of Fine Arts when he was 12. Specialized in Chinese paintings, he worked in Zhenjiang Chinese Painting Academy from 1978 for 18 years. During 1979-1985, Liu self-studied, travelling around the county's culture heritage, famous ancient cities and the five sacred mountains. From 1986 onwards, Liu started his research on Chinese painting with comparison between the east and west culture. Liu has participated in several historical and major exhibitions including "New Chinese Literati Painters Exhibition and Symposium", "2nd International Ink Painting Exhibition" and "Tension- Performance Ink Exhibition". He is currently a professional artist at the Nanjing Calligraphy and Painting Academy and a National First Class Artist.
